Totally Local Company’s Charity Campaigns: Making a Difference in Stockport

We are excited to share the success of our recent campaigns, which raised vital funds for the incredible charity Stockport Foodbank and the Merseyway Giving Tree.

This initiative was made possible through the generous support of our key suppliers, who donated prizes, and the dedication of our amazing employees, who sold and purchased raffle tickets across the business.

Together, we raised £1,200, which was topped up by Totally Local Company to donate a total of £1,500 to Stockport Foodbank.

At Totally Local Company we are very much involved in providing facilities management services to local businesses and the community of which our services include the provision of catering services for local education providers. Our charity fundraiser is one way that enables us to give something back to support some great charitable causes for our local community.

In addition to supporting the Foodbank, we also raised enough funds to buy toys and gifts for the Merseyway Giving Tree, ensuring children in need received presents in time for Christmas. These gifts were delivered to the charity on December 16th.

Our CEO, David Hughes, had the honour of presenting the donation cheque to Nigel Tedford, General Manager of Stockport Foodbank, who has been instrumental in leading the charity since its establishment in 2012 in partnership with Hazel Grove Baptist Church and supported by the Trussell Trust.

About Stockport Foodbank

Stockport Foodbank’s mission is to combat hunger and poverty in our community. The Charity has grown into a vital resource for the local community, with eight food banks providing food to over 2,200 people each month. Operating six days a week, the charity offers balanced emergency food parcels and additional support, such as signposting individuals to job opportunities to help them rebuild their lives.

The Giving Tree at Merseyway Shopping Centre in Stockport is an annual event where people can donate gifts to children and people in need in the local community.
