The End of an Era and Exciting New Beginnings for Totally Local Company

Posted On: 21 Mar 2025

For nearly three decades, Enterprise House has been more than just a workplace for teams from Stockport Council, SSK, and Totally Local Company (TLC); it has been a hub of collaboration, innovation, and shared success. As we bid farewell to this familiar space, we celebrate the memories made and eagerly embrace the next chapter of our journey.

Reflecting on Our Time at Enterprise House

Enterprise House has been at the heart of TLC’s story, witnessing everything from breakthrough service launches to significant company milestones. It is a place where lasting professional relationships were forged through everyday teamwork and moments of collective achievement. As we leave behind the many memories formed within its walls, we look forward to building new ones in our upgraded facilities.

A Bold Move to Modern Facilities

After months of careful planning and execution, our teams are now transitioning from Enterprise House to our modern new locations. Our Senior Management Team, and back-office functions including Transformation & Technology, Finance, Admin, HR, SHEQ, Business Development, Catering, and Cleaning Management teams, have permanently relocated to Endeavour House in Bredbury Park Way, which has been transformed into our new Head Office.

Other teams have also moved to strategic locations which include:

Highways Reactive, Street Lighting, Procurement, Stores, and Warehouse Teams: Currently operating from Chestergate in Stockport Town Centre, with plans to finally settle in the Eco Centre at Adswood Road later this year.

These moves are not just about new addresses—they represent a significant upgrade in our working environments, designed to boost efficiency, foster collaboration, and support our continued growth.

Looking Ahead: Cheadle Eco Business Park

The site of Enterprise House, owned by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC), is set for an inspiring transformation. With planning permission secured in 2024, the property will be reborn as Cheadle Eco Business Park, an innovative employment hub committed to sustainability. Supported by a £4.4 million Government Town Fund grant, this redevelopment will create new job opportunities and welcome businesses that value eco-friendly solutions.

A New Chapter for TLC

As we transition to Endeavour House, Chestergate, and Bruntwood Park, we are excited about the enhanced facilities that will support our evolving business needs.

Our Project Management team has worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth relocation with minimal disruption. We extend our gratitude to all colleagues for their patience and cooperation during this transformative period.

While leaving Enterprise House carries a touch of nostalgia, this move marks the beginning of an exciting new era. We look forward to settling into our modern spaces, creating fresh memories, and continuing our commitment to excellence.

Here’s to the next great chapter in TLC’s journey!
