Solutions SK ask local school children to design ‘Welcome’ signs for their local park
As the weather improves and we prepare for spring, what better place to spend your free time, than in your local park?
Stockport based facility management company, Solutions SK, have launched their ‘My Park’ competition to encourage families to utilise their local park areas as the weather begins to improve.
Children across the borough have been asked to design a welcome sign for parks playground area. The design needs to include wording and a drawing which shows what their park means to them.
At the end of 2016, Solutions SK ran a successful festive e-card competition, which asked Stockport School children to design a card that represented the festive season. The competition received nearly 500 entries. The company are prepared for the same positive response with the launch of ‘My Park’ and look forward to seeing the entries which come in.
Solutions SK Managing Director, Stephen Morris explains
“Following the success of our previous competitions – we’re very excited to be launching “My Park”. We are committed and passionate about building relationships with our local community. Parks are often considered a hub where families get together and so to promote the concept of spending time in these areas is important. This competition will celebrate everything good that our parks stand for, encouraging more children and families to utilise this space.”
The competition launches on Monday 30th January and closes on 28th February.
The winning designs will be printed and displayed in 10 parks across Stockport. Competition forms are now going out to all schools who work with Solutions SK. You can also request a competition form by emailing, rachel.marsland@solutionssk.co.uk or call 0161 474 5563 for more information.
