Competition for local school children
Working with local schools and communities is important to us, so this November we’re launching a competition asking school children from across the borough to design a Festive Greetings card by drawing what this season means to them.
Following on from the success of our menu design competition earlier this year which encouraged children to think about healthy eating choices, we’re now asking children to think about what the Festive Season means to them, and to put that down on paper.
Jacqueline Cohen, Customer Engagement Manager for Solutions SK, explains
We’re incredibly committed to working with schools and our local community. We think this is a good way to encourage the children to think about what the festive season means. With so many commercial influences at this time of year, a competition like this will encourage them to think and talk about what the season is really about – for many children it will still be about presents, but it can also be about fun and snowmen, charity and giving, family, friends and building memories.
The competition launches on Monday 7 November and closes on 2 December.
The winning design will be published in the Stockport Express as well as being recreated into an e-card and distributed by Solutions SK. In addition to this, the winner’s school will also be awarded with a £50 voucher for new reading books.
Competition forms are now going out to all schools who work with Solutions SK. If you, or your school would like to enter, you can also download an entry form here and return by email to jacqueline.cohen@solutionssk.co.uk
