Bramhall High School Careers Fair – 2 July 2024

We were thrilled to participate in the Bramhall High School Careers Fair on 2nd July 2024.

Our dedicated colleagues from HR and Communications were in attendance, showcasing the wide range of services we provide throughout the Stockport Borough at our exhibition stand.

The event was a resounding success, drawing in over five hundred students and parents. The evening was bustling with activity, as attendees engaged with our interactive quiz designed to break the ice and test their general knowledge about Stockport.

The students in attendance were aged 14-15 years and currently preparing for their GCSEs. They showed a keen interest in exploring potential career paths. Many were still undecided on which career direction to take, which is to be expected at this stage of their educational journey.

Students and parents were happy to engage to find out more about TLC, and participate in our interactive quiz, and, they loved the promotional giveaways!

Our team had numerous engaging conversations with students about the diverse career opportunities available at Totally Local Company. We emphasised that all our job openings are advertised on the TLC website under the ‘Work for Us’ section, and we encouraged students to regularly check for new vacancies, especially as they approach school leaving age. We also highlighted our apprenticeship programmes, advising students to stay updated for future opportunities.

Shannon Donnellan, our HR Apprentice who joined us in April this year, was also present to share her experiences. Shannon provided valuable insights into the benefits of apprenticeships and the positive impact they can have on a young person’s career development.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with the next generation of talent and look forward to seeing many of these bright young minds join our team in the future.
